Syd's Visit--3

Syd got the strut down quick

He had some fun with it, too.

Long subway ride home.

Syd's Visit--2

We had a pre-opera hamburger.

Photos inside The Met are prohibited, so I had to sneak this.

Out about town.

In fancy cowboy boots no less.

Syd's Visit--1

Syd came, so we went to the opera.

Showed some brotherly love.

He loved the vibe of the city.

Holidays -- Christmas 7

Grandma liked her light-up necklace. I told her it brought out her eyes...

That made her laugh...

Some green beans from the market.

Cold

Very cold in NYC.

Holidays -- Christmas 6

Mother and daughter are very goofy.

I guess that's where the son gets it.

Fame.

We felt very cool. Joe took us up a secret, winding way, to the Hollywood sign.

Holidays -- Christmas 5

From the top of Hollywood hills, the future looks clear, the future looks bright.

Fresh produce is fun to hold

At Christmas, we didn't just watch football. I also lost at pool.

Ah, what a sweet mother-daughter combo. (Just wait till the next post.)

Holidays -- Christmas 4

Opening presents never gets old--no mater how old you get.

Watching football is a basic necessity of Christmas... We should we talk?

Sister-Brother love.

L.A. or Mexico?

Escalator

Crazy long in DC.

Holidays -- Christmas 3

China Town has its own sort of gritty charm. Like this elevator door.

Along with colorful fish to watch.

And toads to eat. (Rather disturbing to see)

And tea to drink.

Ska

At the Kennedy Center had us all bobbing our heads.

Eating Out

Ben's Chile Bowl. Obama and Crosby eat here.

Holidays -- Christmas 2

We took the day to go into China Town.

This store had all the best candy.

Later, Tiffany played cards with Grandma.

And Joe took a break.

Holidays -- Christmas 1

Christmas in California is surreal. It was right around 65 the entire time. While in Laguna Beach we saw dolphins jump. We also ate at the best ramen place I've ever been.

Taking pictures of Joe when he was rebelting his pants. Oops.

When Tiffany and Joe are together, you can tell they are siblings. They like to goof around.

Snow!!!

I think it only fair that we get this snow storm as Tiff and I missed the first.

14 Inches of Snow On the Way

Means even the trees need to bundle up.

Hmmm

Just for the fellas...

Holidays -- Thanksgiving 5

Lobster is a must have in Maine. Although, by the end of these two beasts, Tiff was a little grossed out.

A couple of wonderful ladies.

Nana has a spark for performance.

Meat slice? Seriously? This is what passes for graffiti in Maine?

Holidays -- Thanksgiving 4

This was pretty. I like profile shots.Man divides up the sky. 27 pieces in this picture alone. Not trying to wax poetic. Just saying we like to chunk things off to fit.

Tiffany didn't know that Nana's car had hyperdrive. Then she pressed it and ZOOM!

Walking through the fashion district in Maine (about a block long) Tiff and Nana decided to strike some poses.

This one's a good one.
